Chantal
Jolly is an
accredited music therapist, sound and energy healer and facilitator of guided
imagery and music. She uses her
skills, knowledge and intuition to help people achieve the balance and
wholeness that come from within themselves. Chantal
has studied and practiced each of the healing modalities she uses at great length. She holds a bachelorŐs degree(1992)
and a masterŐs degree(1998) in music therapy. The training includes the applied use of music with
individuals and groups of all ages and abilities. It includes counseling skills and a strong background in
psychology. She has
particularly deepened her music therapy work with her studies in the Bonny
Method of Guided Imagery and Music, which is a powerful process of exploring oneŐs inner
world through music and imagery.
She is a fully qualified Facilitator of the Bonny Method, and has
received designation of Fellow of the Association of Music and Imagery. Her
other music-related passion is Sound Healing, which explores the vibrational
and spiritual aspects of music and healing. With her strong base in music therapy, the addition of
sound healing can deepen the transformational aspects of music, taking one into
states of transcendence and inner peace. Her studies with Jonathan Goldman (US), Sarah Benson (US),
and Simon Heather (UK) have been an inspiration to her. She is a
Reiki master,
having trained with a well-respected master in Scotland. She also is in the final level of
attaining her Healing Touch Practitioner designation. She has taken training in and
practiced reflexology, relaxation massage, and anatomy and physiology for
healers. She has
found that the basis underlying energy healing, healing with music, sound and imagery,
is a common one. Working with clear
intention,
music, imagery, sound, and energy travel on similar paths to the healing
process. She has
studied and practiced a variety of Meditation and Relaxation techniques, including
transcendental meditation, mantra meditation, Spirit Awareness meditation,
chanting, toning, music and meditation, autogenic and progressive
relaxation. She
believes that many of the modalities she practices are forms of meditation,
that allow one to observe and gain insight from the inner processes that
occur within each individual. Chantal
believes that healing and transformation come from a base of love, honesty
and forgiveness. Her passion is
working with people to reduce the overall amount of stress in their lives, to
rediscover their inner place of peace and wholeness, and to help facilitate
experiences of transformation and joy. |
